The essence of the rocky sea-side and delectable cuisine of the Liguria region provided the core inspiration for ROCCA kitchen & bar’s brand identity, a casual Italian restaurant in Boston’s South End. Korn Design developed a visual vocabulary that includes the rugged coast line, abundant wild fish and a fabulous vintage wooden speedboat, all elements suggestive of timeless and unforgettable vacations in the Italian Riviera.

Korn Design worked closely with Interior Designer Dennis Duffy and owners Michela Larson, Karen Haskel and Gary Sullivan to align all design elements in support of the complete dining experience. Classic Red Neon signs and weathered, painted typography on the brick entryway faithfully represent authentic signage of the region, while menus contrast elements of the land and the sea with red stitching details, adding to the allure of the experience.
