Famed chef/restaurateur Daniel Boulud has unleashed his penchant for downtown adventure with DBGB Kitchen and Bar, a new, truly inspired casual brasserie concept. For DBGB, Daniel brought together award-winning architect and interior designer Thomas Schlesser of Design Bureaux, Inc. as well as Denise and the Korn Design team for the design and branding aspects of this venture.

Drawn to its natural home on The Bowery in lower Manhattan, DBGB holds true to the context of this historic neighborhood. Korn Design’s spirited interpretation to establish the brand elements for DBGB resulted in a purposely interchangeable series of vintage-inspired marks that weave together references to black leather, hard music, vintage beer labels and food crates, “layered-over-time” signage, indigenous street graphics and of course The Bowery’s notoriously storied past.
