Family Film Festival

Challenge

Boston Properties asked Korn Design to redesign The Prudential Center’s Magic 106.7 Family Film Festival public marketing creative to best reflect the the exciting family-friendly spirit of this annual event.

Starting Saturday of July 4th weekend, The Prudential Center’s Magic 106.7 Family Film Festival began, bringing together local families in the South Garden to enjoy evenings of kid-friendly fun movie-watching. Free to those of all ages, the festival is sponsored by many caring philanthropic companies, including the presenting sponsor, Hood.

Korn Design created all of the marketing and signage to capture through bold imagery and simple language the fun energy of its target audience, local children and their families, as well as highlight the generosity of its fantastic sponsors.

Solution

Designer and illustrator, Chris Caldwell of Korn Design, developed a vibrant, illustrative poster and promotions to attract audiences. Caldwell grew up with Disney and Pixar movies, which he reflected on to inspire his work on this project. Pulling from both modern and a slightly retro illustration style, Caldwell tapped into his inner kid to create a fresh take on celebrating the timeless joy that children’s films bring.

Korn Design’s poster can be seen in it’s largest scale in Center Court of the Prudential Center. The Magic 106.7 Family Film Festival will be playing free family-friendly films every Saturday evening at 6pm through August 27th.
